Tandem Cottage by Carrie Fancett Pagels (A Mackinac Island Women's Fiction Novel)

I was totally immersed in this book!  I enjoyed the characters, which all were believable and the story line of a single mother with a special needs son. I found it to be a moving and heartwarming story.  The story takes place on Mackinac Island, which the author has embraced and caused me to feel right at home.  I have read several of her books from this wonderful place. As a single mother, Alyssa has to tackle a lot and there are many times of challenges in her path.  I love how the travel on the island is by bicycle, giving the story a peaceful feeling to me.  I love the cover!  That alone gives me a peaceful and restful feeling. It was a very engaging storyline and contained some characters from previous books which is always fun to read about as they continue to become "friends" to readers.
