Can't Help Falling in Love with My Hockey Player Husband By Jennifer Spredemann with Brandi Gabriel

This book touched on some "real-life" situations.  It was handled appropriately and was a very good read.  It was a story of Amish Ivy and "Englisch" Jude.  They have known each other a long time.  Ivy finds herself in a difficult situation and Jude is her good friend and she tells him of her situation.  Together they try to find their way.  They both deal with many of life's difficulties and you can tell of their feelings for one another, although they may not realize it themselves.

The book is about faith, forgiveness and the need of God's guidance. It was a very good book.  I really loved reading it and stayed up late to see how things turn out. I enjoyed it very much and readers of Amish fiction will find this a great book to read and enjoy.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

For Sure and Certain I Do Not Love Henry Yoder: An Amish Hockey Rom-Com by Jennifer Spredemann and Brandi Gabriel

This was such a cute book and I am so lucky to have had a chance to read it!  It is Ellie and Henry's story and yes, Ellie does not love Henry Yoder, but how does he feel about Ellie? She holds a grudge from grade-school years and she is sure that the older version of Henry has never changed!  The book is a sweet story of Henry's feelings for Ellie and his hopes to win her heart.  But that is not at all what Ellie wants and there are definitely things that are obstacles in winning Ellie's heart and hand.  But you will see that God's hand is in our life's paths and such is the case in this book.  I recommend this sweet story and the beginning of a new Amish series.

The Orphan Bride by Brandi Gabriel

This book by Brandi Gabriel was the first I have actually read about orphan trains.  I found it quite interesting.  In fact I felt like I would like to find out more about this and searched it on the internet and found some interesting facts at this link.

This was a really nice historical novella which held my interest throughout.  The characters are interesting and you instantly like most of them.  It is an enjoyable Christian and clean read.

Lucy and Travis, twins, are separated when Travis was adopted and she remained with the orphan train.  Their paths moved in different directions and with different results.  Lucy cares for Joan on the train and takes on a mother role to her.  But neither knows what their future holds.

I really enjoyed the story and wouldn't mind reading a continuation of this book.  Very nice read!  I highly recommend it.
