The Escape Game By Marilyn Turk (Heroines of WWII

Another very moving book written by this author.  I loved this story and I am sure that most readers will agree that it is definitely a book you will want to read.

As Beryl cares for her mother and her brother fights in the War life totally changes. Her brother becomes a POW along with a former college friend, Kenneth.  They plan their escape but will they be successful?  The book has action, sadness and all the feels that a war brings to the soul.  I really liked this book and it goes along well with this series that I have enjoyed very much.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley.  All thoughts are my own.

A Christmas Secret by Cindy M. Amos, Robin Densmore Fuson, Jo Huddleston, Martha Rogers, Darlia Sawyer, Marilyn Turk

This is a compilation of short stories by several authors.  I was happy to read the story written by Marilyn Turk.  The specific title being Railroaded in Key West.  There are two characters using different names to hide their identity as the take part in the safe  arrival of the first train in Key West.  This was based on historical events that occurred in Key West.  There was some intrigue and it was interesting to see the characters as they interact together, not knowing of the other's true identity and purpose for being there.  You will enjoy this.  I look forward to reading the other stories.  I am sure they are also wonderful stories to add to the Christmas Season Spirit!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from one of the authors and was not required to give a positive review.  All thoughts are my own.

The Waves of Romance: A Collection of Sweet Beach Romances by Cindy M. Amos, Joi Copeland, Bonita Y. McCoy, Patti Jo Moore and Marilyn Turk

This is an enjoyable summer read with five novellas from five different authors in a very nice collection.  Each story was different and I liked all the contemporary style romances.  Being as there are 5 novellas, there is lots of reading here and the compilation was of a longer length, which was very nice.

I wasn't familiar with all the authors, so I liked seeing the different writing styles.  I really enjoyed Marilyn Turk's story as Courtney searches to find her way through a rough patch and finds a childhood friend who might be just what she needs, or maybe not?

If you want an enjoyable read for the summer, this book is a great choice.

I received an ebook from an author.  All thoughts are my own.

Rebel Light by Marilyn Turk Coastal Lights Legacy Book 1

This is a great Civil War period read.  I really enjoyed it from page 1 till the end.  It was a very interesting read with some unexpected turns in the story, which I really liked.  The book is during a time of great stress in our country and deals well with the events of these times and is heartwarming and a Christian read.  The characters you either loved or absolutely didn't and the descriptions of the times and places were well done without being overdone.

It was a very enjoyable book and I can't wait to read the next book!

I won a copy of this book from the author.  All thoughts are my own.

Shadowed By A Spy by Marilyn Turk

This is a historical mystery romance.  It's WWII and this book tells the story of  how Lexie and fiance Russell choose to do their part for the cause.  It's a very interesting book which takes you back to another time, and let's us share some of the experiences that took place.   This is the second book and the first book, The Gilded Curse was the book which precedes the events in this story.  If you read the first book, you will become familiar with the characters and the events that lead to where they are in this book.  I really felt that this book was a wonderful read.  I truly enjoyed it and it was very entertaining, interesting as well as educational in some of the goings on during this difficult period in history.

I highly recommend this book.

The Gilded Curse by Marilyn Turk

I won a copy of this book and was glad I did!  It's a fun read and I enjoyed it very much.  It has some mystery, intrigue and romance.  It is a very entertaining book.  The time period was one of my favorite time periods in historical fiction, that of the WWII time period.  I enjoyed that you didn't really know who the friend or foe was till the end.

The Great Lakes Lighthouse Brides Collection by Various Authors

I have always been drawn to lighthouses.  There is something very romantic just because of the light they share.  When I saw this title and some of my favorite authors participating, I couldn't resist.  I had to read this book.

I learned a lot about what goes on in the lighthouse, and came to the awareness of what an important role they played.

There were seven wonderful stories here, unique and captivating.  I loved this book.  It's a beautiful collection.  So glad that I was able to read this well-written compilation.

I received a book from one of the authors.  All thoughts are my own.
