One Good Word A Day by Julie Fisk, Kendra Roehl, Kristin Demery

It didn't take me too many pages of reading this to know that I loved this book.  I read each page and felt  the sweet peace it gave.  I read the personal vignettes and pictured myself in their place and loved the examples of truth they shared with me, the reader.

I especially enjoyed the example given of a child with a bad dream, coming to the mother's bed for comfort and peace.  And how this compared to our relying on God as our comforter and going to Him at the time of our needs with our worries and life's day to day concerns.

This book warms the heart and brings peaceful thoughts to your mind as you read it.  I loved each page and the feelings it brought to my heart.  There are scriptures that apply to the stories and and the end of the day's Word or thoughts, there is a prompt for "One Good Step".  These are suggestions as to how you can implement these suggestions and lessons into your life.

I highly recommend this book to bring you happier days and peace with all that life gives you.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher and was not required to give a positive review.  All thoughts are my own.

It is Well With My Soul by Carey Scott

I think we all need a book like this!  Specially during this Covid adventure we are all living through at this time.  This book is a feel-good book that can comfort the souls of anyone or any religious group.  It touches on loneliness, our personal struggles and gives ideas on how to open up to God and share our deepest thoughts, concerns and feelings with Him.

A good book to comfort the soul!

I received an ebook copy from NetGalley.  All thoughts are my own.

When God Says Go A Devotional Thought Journal by Elizabeth Laing Thompson

A very timely book!  This is a book filled with scriptural references and thoughts which comfort in the hard days, months and times of our lives.  It gives space to write our own personal thoughts by journaling daily and allowing a space to share our thoughts, express how we feel and perhaps share with family members.

The book asks questions and suggests things you might write down regarding to thoughts to specific topics expressed on the pages. I don't think you would need to write your thoughts page by page, but also skip to the pages that may have more specific thoughts that are currently on your mind and gives you the space to express the thoughts you have.  I like this very much especially in a troubled World.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
