Medical Mystery by Richard L. Mabry, MD

Another great book by Richard Mabry.  I really enjoyed trying to figure who the perpetrator was and I just wasn't sure till the very end.  But I won't tell you!  You will just have to find out for yourself!  And there was a romance along with the crime.  So an all around good read that will keep you guessing!

Being that the author is a retired medical doctor, he sure knows how to make a murder mystery real.  What caused the unexplained death and who?

If you enjoy a great mystery, you will definitely enjoy this one!

I received an ebook copy from the author.  All thoughts are my own.

Critical Decision by Richard L. Mabry, MD

Talk about suspense!  It starts out right away and never quits.  What an enthralling book.  I never felt I could trust the good guys and was always wondering who are the bad guys?  And what lies around the next corner.  This was an excellent book.  It keeps you on your toes and wondering throughout.

Being that the author is a retired doctor turned author, the medical scenes are realistic and exceptionally well written.  I highly recommend this book for all mystery readers.  It's fantastic!

Bitter Pill by Richard L. Mabry, M.D.

Book Blurb:

THINGS WERE GOING ALONG JUST FINE UNTIL THE MIRACLE FOULED THEM UP

“Brother” Bob Bannister is content with his life and his itinerant healing ministry, until one night he finds that the woman who walks off the stage under her own power isn’t one of his shills. At that point, doubts begin to intrude on his previously untroubled existence.

Dr. Abby Davis is tired of her family practice and at odds with God. Dealing with critically ill and dying patients has crushed her spirit to the point she’s ready to quit. But she soon realizes that there’s more to healing than ministering to the physical body.

Scott Anderson was the oldest graduate of his seminary class. Then again, most of them hadn’t turned away from a medical practice, hoping to atone for past mistakes (including his wife’s death) by ministering to men’s souls. Now he hopes he hasn’t made a colossal mistake in switching careers.

Each of these individuals becomes linked to the other, and each finds that God has a purpose for them—but, as it often does, the lesson comes with discomfort.

My Review:

Dr. Richard Mabry is a Doctor turned author.  His books are so good.  This is a novella style, somewhat shorter length book, but like the others I have read, it is captivating.  You will enjoy the mystery, the cooperation between the characters and the reliance on God.  It's a great read and I highly recommend it.

Guarded Prognosis by Richard L. Mabry M.D. (Audible version) Narrated by Bill Nevitt

I really enjoy the opportunity I had to listen to the Audible version of this book.  Especially when it's a good book like this.  I love the fact that I can listen to a book and still get some work around the house done.  I like that because I feel as though I am enjoying my tasks more as I get to hear a great book.

The narrator was Bill Nevitt.  I enjoyed his voice and expressions as he portrayed various characters, changing his voice to be able to distinguish between the people in the story.

Dr. Mabry's latest book was so good! I had a difficult time putting it down!    There was a lot of mystery, suspense, adding up to an absolutely great book.  The subject matter was very contemporary, very believable and certainly something that might be a real occurrence in the life of a doctor.

There was also just a little touch of "romance" perhaps.  This book is a book that you won't want to miss, especially if you like to read mysteries, which I definitely do!

I liked the fact too, that there was some religious intonations which showed that we all can do many things on our own, but can do all things with God.  That we should trust and remember Him and that it's never too late to turn our lives around.

All in all, a great book and I am very happy that I had the chance to read it.

Emergency Case by Dr. Richard Mabry MD

Suspense at it's best.  This author knows how to write suspense, that's for sure!  The book doesn't waste any time getting you engaged.  It happens from page 1.  A great who-dun-it and wonderful mystery.  You will not want to put this down.

Guarded Prognosis by Dr. Richard L. Mabry M.D.

Dr. Mabry's latest book was so good!  It was a real page turner and I had a difficult time putting it down to do the things I had to do!    There was a lot of mystery, suspense, adding up to an absolutely great book.  The subject matter was very contemporary, very believable and certainly something that might be a real occurrence in the life of a doctor.

Surgeon's Choice by Richard L. Mabry, M.D.

This latest novella by Richard L. Mabry, M.D. is an absolute must-read.  There is no down-time in this book.  The action starts and keeps going to the very end.  I had a hard time putting this down to do anything other than read!

This retired Medical Doctor turned author has applied his medical knowledge and experience to a realistic and captivating mystery.  It kept me spellbound till the very end.

I highly recommend this well-written and exciting book.  I look forward to anything this author produces!

I was provided a pre-publication copy of this novel by the author, but the review is my own opinion.

Cardiac Event by Dr. Richard L. Mabry

Another great mystery from Dr. Mabry.  His mysteries (those I've read) always include some medical incidents, a topic in which he is well versed.

Loved the fast paced action and I hope he keeps writing as mystery is one of my favorite genres.

The characters were well described and the action kept my interest throughout.

If you love a great mystery, this one is just that!  The mystery keeps you thinking about the events and who the "culprit" is.  Never a dull moment in this action packed book.

I received a copy from the author for my honest review.  All thoughts are my own.

Doctor's Dilemma by Richard L. Mabry, M.D.

I grew up a fan of mystery books.  And I really enjoyed this one.  It is the second book I have read from this author and both of them were really good.

This book had mystery and a little romance and kept my interest throughout.

Tyler Gentry, M.D., finds himself working at a new job only to start receiving threatening messages. The book has some exciting scenes and keep you guessing till the end.

So glad I had an opportunity to read this great mystery.

I received a free copy of this book from the author for my honest review, which I have given.  All thoughts are my own.

Medical Judgment by Richard L. Mabry, M.D.

Was this a good book?  Yes, it was really, really good!  I had to keep reading because I had to know who was the culprit that was tormenting Dr. Sarah Gordon and causing her total fear and anguish.  There were lots of suspects and I was sort of leaning towards one of them.  But I was wrong.  The poor woman didn't know who to trust, nor did she know why all this craziness was happening to her just months after the accidental  deaths of both her husband and her daughter.

Dr. Sarah learns a lot about herself and that she can be stronger than she was while her husband was still alive.  She tries to take her life back into her own hands only to have more problems.

This book is good.  If you like suspense and a lot of mystery, this is the book for you!

RX:Murder by Dr. Richard L. Mabry, MD

A medical mystery written by a retired M.D.  Obviously he has the medical details down pat and it's interesting to read that knowing the author knew the facts about what was written.

Dr. Elena Gardner's patient, Mary Lou Stewart is the victim of her husband Luke's temper, drinking and physical abuse.  She's also expecting a child.  She fears for herself and her unborn child and shares her worries with her doctor, yet feels inadequate to provide for the two of them on her own. She feels unable to leave the abusive relationship she has found herself in.

When her husband's beaten body is found, several suspects come into view and the tension mounts. You will have to read this novella to find the answers.  Although a short read, it's a good one!
