I loved this sweet story! I think it is my favorite Erica Vetsch book yet! A heartwarming tale of a stranded pioneer whose husband died and whose horses were stolen. She is left with a wagon in the middle of nowhere in labor!
Discovered by cattle drivers she now faces a big adventure in her quickly changing circumstances. Unsure of what her future holds in store, she does what she must do for herself and the baby she bears.
This was such a good book, I was sad to see it end. Really worth the time to read it!
I received an ebook copy from the author. All thoughts are my own.

The Victorian Christmas Brides Collection by Carrie Fancett Pagels, Erica Vetsch, Suzanne Dietze, Rita Gerlach. Kathleen L. Maher, Gabrielle Meyer, Vanessa Riley, Lorna Seilstad, C. J. Chase
Love reading these novella collections Which I seem to be happily collecting btw! There are 9 stories set in the 1800 time frame and nice Christmas stories. But great even for warm summer days! There were several new authors for me. And I enjoyed their style, their stories making for a wonderful reading collection. It would be nice to see some of these stories developed into a full length book. Great stories!
These were happy stories that leave you happy that you were able to read them. Because of the time period involved, I am sure much research time was involved in the writings so that they would be true to the time. And they were.
I received an ebook copy from NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

Seven Brides for Seven Texans by Multiple Authors
Seven brothers on the 7 Heart Ranch are given the ultimatum to get married within the year or lose their inheritance. I loved these stories, easy and enjoyable to read, all seven of them. Some of my favorite historical authors wrote these and they are all sweet, Christian reads. And there's lots of reading to keep you busy for quite a while. I highly recommend this excellent collection. I am so pleased that I had the opportunity to read these.
And I couldn't pick a favorite, I loved 'em all!
I was given an ebook copy from NetGalley for my honest review.

My Heart Belongs to Fort Bliss, Texas by Erica Vetsch
Doesn't this book cover just invite you to come read it? It really speaks to me. The fact that the story takes place in Texas makes it very dear to my heart, too. Many family ties here as early Texan settlers. As Priscilla comes to Fort Bliss she expects to return home with a niece and nephew whose parents both became ill and left them without parents.
Unknown to her, the guardian role she had expected to take upon herself, had been taken by someone else. The story gets really interesting and I just loved it! I love historical fiction and this is a great one!

Shining Armor by Erica Vetsch
I have now finished the 3rd book in the series. Gwendolyn Gerhard is becoming a mail order bride, or is she? The man who had sent for her has died shortly before her arrival. She is surprised by the fact that the man was also an old grandpa. And now she's in the middle of nowhere and no where to stay, and no options but to return to where she started.
I am really enjoying this series of stories. And I can't wait to start on the next one. I rate this a 5 star. I enjoyed reading it and the characters were enjoyable and there was a bit of excitement along the way.

Lady-in-Waiting by Erica Vetsch The Love is Patient Romance Collection
This is the second novella in the book. I have recently read and reviewed another historical romance by this same author. I enjoyed it alot, as I did this one, too.
Plain Jane is how Jane saw herself, and so she was desperate to win the love of her mail-order arranged marriage. She was sure that he had no feelings for her, although she had feelings for him.
Moving out to a soddy was not what she had expected, but so it was and she has to decide how to earn her husband's love.
A sweet romance with an enjoyable storyline. I enjoy this author and hope to read more of her writings.
The book can be purchased at this link.

The Legend of Obadiah Wilder: The Glorious Defeat of the Dickenson Gang (Cactus Creek Challenge) by Erica Vetsch
This story is a prequel for the Cactus Creek Challenge by Erica Vetsch.
Although short in length it carries a big punch as it starts right off with a real "bang".
A murder and an arrest that worries the townspeople in this Texas town. The reason for the fear? The Dickenson gang always takes care of its own. The townspeople knew that this was not the end of a crime, it was only the beginning.
If this prequel is any hint as to the book, then its going to be a good read, you can count on that.
This prequel is currently a free download at Amazon. You may want to get this to see what is coming soon in the full-length book!
