Fields of Promise by Tracy Schuldt Helixon
I read this wonderful book last night. It was such a nice and very Christian book. I loved the book because of the neighbors helping each other, being there for each other at times of need. Immigrant from Ireland, Katherine Murphy, takes over the family home and property after the death of father. I loved how they faced problems and dealt with them. And how they all worked together to do what needed to be done.
The descriptions of the homestead and of Jonathan's experiences working in his father's business were very clearly defined and you felt the feelings they were feeling. This book won't disappoint!
I received an ebook copy from the author. All thoughts are my own.

From Rome With Love by Kate Lloyd
The day I was lucky enough to win this book, was truly my lucky day! This was such a good book. I was totally immersed in it. The minute I started reading, it grabbed my immediate attention, and never let go.
I felt I was right there with Lucy as she tells in first person of her job as nanny of a teenage girl with lots of challenges and their subsequent trip to Rome for a Christmas trip. The descriptions of the city were very realistic and I found myself in Italy, enjoying the trip and the interesting mystery that developed.
I felt her thoughts as she was uncertain as to who to trust and who not to trust. Who to believe? I did have to laugh where perhaps others might not. She had a fall and I so totally related. Seriously, every time I go to Europe, I fall! In fact, my last trip, I told my family, just wait. I am going to fall and I did. Must be the European cobblestones!
I enjoyed every bit of this book. It had no dull moments and moved at a good pace to keep me reading. I totally loved this book.

From This Moment by Kim Vogel Sawyer
This book struck a real cord for me. It was a simple story or events that were common everyday events. A story of a new youth pastor in a new town and state, starting out, and having issues in his recent past that caused him anguish and caused him to feel perhaps a bit unworthy.

It Came From Under the Highchair by Karl Beckstrand
This is a cute children's book with both Spanish and English words making it possible to learn a few new words in either language. The story is fun and a bit of a "mystery" to find out what is under the highchair and what will it do next???
This is a cutely illustrated book that will draw a child's attention and bring some laughs, as well.
I received a free e-book copy from the author. All thoughts are my own.
Polar Bear Bowler A Story Without Words by Karl Beckstrand
This children's book by Karl Beckstrand was pure fun. If I was a kid I would want to have this book on my shelf! It allows both children and parents to use their own imaginations as they perhaps tell one another this cute story. The illustrations on their own are excellent and lend easier to a fun verbal story to increase the story-telling abilities of both parent and child.
Just fun and cute pictures. Kids will love this.
I received a free ebook version from the author. All thoughts are my own.

Second Chance Homecoming by Linda K. Rodante
I just discovered I had this as an e-book that I had purchased and I won a paperback copy from the author. And which version did I read? Why the paperback, of course!
Because it was of novella length, I finished it in one sitting. It was a light, easy to read and enjoyable romance of two people who had once had hopes for one another but didn't work out at that time.
Very sweet, Christian and fun to read. I recommend for a relaxing and nice story.
I received a copy from the author and all thoughts are my own.

Hope Between The Pages by Pepper D. Basham
Being a reader and having visited libraries since a young girl, this book struck a definite cord with me. Loved the time-slip which was seamlessly done. The characters were well described and you start to enjoy them so much. It was wonderful to see the long ago romance. The scenery lives in your own mind as you read their descriptions. You are there and you see it and feel it.

The Lady in Residence by Allison Pittman
This book was really a fascinating book. It took me a few pages to get totally into this book, but when I did, I had to keep reading. It was so interesting and I couldn't put it down. I loved that it took place in San Antonio and as the author described a Mexican restaurant with murals on the walls, I am sure I have been there while visiting this city. So I felt totally immersed in the location setting, the plot and the characters. It was excellent!
It had mystery, suspense, romance and the ghost, well, that was fabulous. You gotta read this one!
I received a complimentary book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

A Murder Redeemed Star of Justice Series by Bruce Hammack
Wow, this book was so well written. I couldn't put it down. This book was filled with lots of action, tension and mystery. It was one of the most engaging mysteries I have read in a long time. It was modern, up-to-date in crimes that are prevalent in our time.
CJ was an assistant police chief, her dream job, living the life she wanted and suddenly everything changes. She doesn't give up trying to find the culprits in the many car thefts that are happening in her jurisdiction. There are lots of different side stories that add to the work at hand and it is captivating. If you are a mystery lover, you won't be disappointed with this book. It is that good! I really recommend this!

A Change of Scenery The Canon City Chronicles Book 4 by Davalynn Spencer
Now this was a totally different story line. Never before have I read a book that told this type of story, so it was new and refreshing! It takes place in 1911 and time period brings on a convergence of "old" and "new". The horse riders and the automobile drivers.

Dream a Little Dream (Sunshine Valley Book 3) By Melinda Curtis
The Matchmaking Widows Club is at it again. I really enjoy a good matchmaking book and this was definitely one! Darcy Harper finds herself as the new town judge and crosses paths with her old high school flame. It's a sure bet the matchmakers will get involved with this one!
This is a really engaging story and I found myself quickly and totally absorbed in all the goings on including Darcy's deceased husband George, who seems to be actively involved in Darcy's life.
It is a very enjoyable book that keeps you turning pages to see what happens next. If it isn't already on your TBR pile, it definitely should be. Lots of good reading here.
