A Picture of Hope by Liz Tolsma (Heroines of WWII)

Nellie Wilkerson is a photo journalist hoping to get to France to take some amazing shots on the frontlines.  This is a really amazing story and it takes me back to some of my own mother's wartime experiences.  The story of how she comes to help special needs-children in need is both heart warming and heart wrenching.  It's really an emotional story for those who enjoy historical fiction.  The story is based on facts and is filled with action.  There are no dull moments and it is a book you won't want to miss.  I had a hard time putting it down.

Having written my own mother's story, this one rings very believable and credible and absolutely riveting. I highly recommend it!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
