Such a nice story. Kids needing home and love and people needing one another. Loved the storyline. This was book 1 of a new series and I definitely want to read the rest of the series. So good! And I love Amish fiction and romance. Always a good clean read as was this book.

A Grave Secret: A clean police procedural full of action, mystery and suspense! (Star of Justice Series Book 3) by Bruce Hammack
I loved book 3 and a great addition to the series. It was very enthralling and kept me reading a bit too late in the night. Yes, I wanted to know what happened next and it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. It is a well written book. The author is a very talented author and the book keeps you spellbound. And it's a clean read!
This book was filled with lots of action, tension and mystery. As with the other two books in the series It was an engaging mystery. It was modern, up-to-date in crimes that are prevalent in our time.
CJ was at work again trying to find out the culprit behind the deaths. I really recommend this to all mystery & suspense genre fans!
I received an ebook copy from the author. All thoughts are my own.
Intriguing Escapades by Linda Weaver Clarke (Audible Version)
Just finished Intriguing Escapades in the Audible version. Loved it and always enjoy a great Audible book to listen to while driving or working around the house. The narrator, Carolyn Cashner is a great addition to the Audible version. She is very easy to listen to and makes the listening very enjoyable.
Linda Weaver Clarke added this new book in her series "The Adventures of John and Julia Evans". It's book 5 and a great addition to the continuing family saga. It contains 4 short stories and if you have read or listened to the previous books, you will see familiar and new characters to bring interest and excitement to her stories. The stories are set in my fave places, Utah and a little in Texas. She brings them up to our current time, during the Pandemic. The stories are mysterious and interesting and you will surely enjoy the mystery and perhaps some romance to keep things very interesting!
These are clean and enjoyable stories and definitely entertaining!
I received an Audible copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own.

Sarah's Choice by Pegg Thomas
This book is filled with drama and action. It's also poignant and heartwarming. All the feels! The struggles this poor woman has to live with and know what to do. Her choice is difficult in a time that is also difficult. I really enjoyed this book. At times it was hard to decide even for myself as to what she should do.

The 5-Minute Visual Guide to the Bible by Michael Wittmer
I was thinking this book would be different than it was. I had envisioned that it would be more instructive in explaining more difficult to understand Bible verses, rather it was somewhat of a Bible retelling in a modern vernacular way. The artwork was very good but perhaps there should have been more.
The premise of a helpful book to guide people through the Bible is good but I think it fell short for me.
I received a complimentary version of this book from NetGalley and Barbour Publishing. All thoughts are my own.

Between the Wild Branches by Connilyn Cossette (The Covenant House Book 2)
What an amazing book this was. I had been waiting for this book since finishing book 1, To Dwell Among Cedars. I could hardly wait to read it and it was as good as I had hoped and expected from this wonderful author.
This was Lukio's story as his past comes back into his life and finds the woman he cared so much for in his youth. But so much has happened since they were torn apart from the wishes of her father. So many changes and things to complicate their lives.
There is a very interesting storyline and a story of repentance and striving for the good as opposed to the evil. Both books of this set are excellent and make for good biblical period fiction. I love historical things and the lifestyle and events are always very interesting to read about.
I love this author's work and can't wait to see what her next book will be about. I am sure it will be amazing!

Come Back To Me by Jody Hedlund
This was quite a different book than what I had expected. Although I often read time travel stories or time slip, this one was quite different than most. The story revolves around the Holy Water and is what brings about the time travel adventures Marion experiences. This due to her father's years of research into this particular topic. She has some major excitement as she slips far back in time while searching for a way to heal her sister and her dad who is in a coma. They need the Holy Water to heal them and Marion is a researcher who partakes of the water which brings her into a new realm.
The Middle Ages adventures are quite fascinating and intriguing and the romance that builds is quite intense. A very unique book that has a lot to offer. It does have some sensual scenes that may not be suitable for all.
I received a complimentary book from the publisher. All thoughts are my own.

The Amish Quiltmaker's Unruly In-Law by Jennifer Beckstrand
This was another good book by Jennifer Beckstrand. I have enjoyed all her books. This one taught a lesson of forgiveness. And of self-forgiveness, the hardest kind. And about growing up and continuing to learn and progress, repent and start over, sometimes more than once.
A good book about imperfect people who are still loved even when they themselves do not love themselves.
It was about mistakes and fixing them. Finding your true path in life, sometimes with the help of others. if you will let them.
I recommend it. Very good book.

The Wish by Beverly Lewis (Audible Version)
I love taking walks, or running errands in my car and listening to Audible books. I have been listening to The Wish and have enjoyed this book very much. The author writes interesting Amish fiction stories and this was another good book of two friends separated due to a father who has issues with his church leaders and feels the need to move away. The story seems like a plausible event that could certainly happen to Amish people as they deal with the issues of the Ordnung.
I liked the story and am glad that I was able to read this book.

An Unlikely Match by Beth Wiseman (The Amish Inn Novels book 2)
When I started reading this, I immediately knew that I had read book 1 of this series. I remembered the very memorable characters from book 1, such as grumpy Gus, Lizzie, Esther. I was so happy to continue this fun and enjoyable series. I enjoyed the book because it was a really light-hearted read for me. There was drama, laughs and so enjoyable.

Faith in the Mountain Valley by Misty M. Beller (Call of the Rockies Book 5)
All of the books of this series have been amazing. Book 5 was wonderful and we hear of some personalities from previous books which adds a nice cohesiveness to the series. And then French is on his own as he makes an interesting discovery as another group passes by them. And then his adventure begins and it is a wonderful and captivating adventure.
I have loved every book in this series. I am always so anxious for the next book to come out. This book was different than the others in the storyline and I just absolutely loved it. The author is an outstanding author. She's got a fan in me!
I received an ebook copy of this book by the author. All thoughts are my own.

Author Guest Post by Linda Weaver Clarke With a GIVEAWAY!
Hello Friends! Linda Weaver Clarke is sharing about her books today and I hope that if you haven't read her books that you will definitely give them a try! They are sweet, clean and wonderful!
I believe it’s
never too late to accomplish one’s dreams. Some people have a bucket list that
has daring things to do or something they longed to do for years. It is never
too late and you are never too old to do something you have longed to do.
After raising six daughters and believing it is never too late to dream, I decided to go back to college. It was a scary thing to do and I don’t know why I was so worried. At the age of 50, I graduated from college with a Theatre and Arts Degree. After that, I performed for a concert series. It was unbelievably fun and enjoyable until I got reflux and lost my voice. Feeling discouraged, I didn’t know what to do with my life. But . . . when one door is closed, God opens another door for you to walk through. And that was exactly what He did for me.
An interest in writing engulfed me. So I went to the library and studied every book available about writing. I wanted to write family friendly stories for all ages. So I sat down and wrote a few books until I was brave enough to send one to a publisher. At the age of 56, I became a published author and won an award for my first book, which surprised and delighted me. After writing five historical romances, I wrote 12 cozy mysteries and then wrote three swashbuckling romances. Since I was a fan of Robin Hood, Zorro, and the Scarlet Pimpernel, I couldn’t help it. I even wrote some non-fiction and a children’s book. Being an author has been an interesting path to travel. The most recent series that I just completed is a historical mystery romance series set in the 1830s. It is called A Willow Valley Historical Romance. Each romance has a mystery to solve.
One Last Dance is the first book in this series, which
will keep you guessing until the end of the book. When Felicity meets their
charming new neighbor, she soon discovers that he is hiding his true identity.
Nicholas Adams is on a quest. When she finds out that someone is after a
valuable heirloom, a precious treasure found in her attic, her life takes a new
turn.
Book trailer:
Angel’s Serenade is the second book in this series. Each day as Emmeline practices the piano, she doesn’t know the new doctor in town secretly sits on his porch to listen to her music. As Emmeline gets to know the charming doctor, they become intrigued by her neighbor’s mysterious behavior. Will they discover his secret? And who is the leader of the River Pirates, who is causing so much havoc?
“This
book contains six short stories of different holidays celebrated in the 1840
time period. These are enjoyable stories to read any time of year, not just in
holiday times. The characters and the book carry Christian values, which I
love. These are very entertaining stories!”
--Sunnie Reviews
I soon realized
that writing short stories was a pleasure and quite fun. So I decided to try it
once again. So I wrote the fifth and last book in this series called Tales of Willow Valley. It is a collection
of five “Love Stories.”
“If you are in the mood for some sweet, clean, historical, romantic short stories then look no further. I enjoyed each story and how the women are not sitting back waiting on a man, but are take-charge women that start their own businesses, aren’t afraid to face ruffians, and encourage women to fight for their rights. It is amazing what you can learn when an author does research into events in the past to make sure their works are as authentic as possible.” –Story Book Reviews

A Lady in Attendance by Rachel Fordham
This was the first book I have read from this author. She is great and tells a captivating story of a woman who has made mistakes in life that caused her to go to a reformatory and lose the family she loves. It is a very unique story and I haven't read one quite like it.
Hazel wants to clean up her past and become a repentant person that her family will again want to be with and so takes a job as a dental "lady in attendance" or dental assistant while trying to find a way to show that the charges that had been made against her were false.
It is a very interesting book and I enjoyed it very much. There is mystery, romance and a little action, as well. I love how she is working so hard to prove herself even when having to share her past with others, which is something she is fearful of doing and taking the chance of losing a good friend. She is a strong and admirable character and the book is fascinating and I highly recommend it!
I received a complimentary copy from Revell Publishing. All thoughts are my own.
