Love Comes Home By Ann H. Gabhart (Audio Version)

I have enjoyed Ann H.Gabharts books and was happy to listen to the Audio version of Love Comes Home.  It's a poignant story of four sisters during the days of the Depression.  Each sister has her own personality and experiences that they respond differently to.  It was the third book in this series, and I hadn't read the earlier books, so it took me a while to figure out the different sisters and their roles in the story.  Other than that the book works fine as a stand alone book.

The family circle seems quite close in this time period, which I can still remember from my youth, as well.  Life today seems to be on a different path so it was nice to see the family circle as portrayed in this story. Each sister has her own story to live and experiences, good and not so good.

It's a Christian romance story and was very good, as are all this author's books.

I received a complimentary copy of this Audio book from the author and was not required to give a positive review.  All thoughts are my own.

Take A Walk With Marcus Gilbert Weaver and Milred Gough. A Biography by Linda Weaver Clarke

Book Blurb

This biography of Marcus Gilbert Weaver and Florence Milred Gough takes you on a journey through their lives, from the mischievous deeds of Marcus' youth, to his voyage to the panhandle of Florida. You will also learn about his spiritual adventures in the South as he taught the gospel and his missionary experiences in the Olive Branch of Baker, Florida. Explore the adventures of Milred Gough as she seeks, and ultimately finds, her true love. Take a walk down the “path of life” with Marcus and Milred, packed with humorous events, adventures, and spiritual experiences.

My Review

This is a fun biography, and a fun look into historical lives of an early Utah family. The author tells of Marcus Weaver's interesting mission experiences, the snakes, the bugs and all the fun and adventures he had.

The story is described in journal style and is very enjoyable to listen to.  The experiences of this couple are very interesting as their spiritual, humorous and life's story is related by the author.  The narrator Carolyn Kashner does an excellent job as the storyteller and narrator.

I really enjoyed listening to the engaging events in the life of this Latter-Day Saint couple as they forge their life and their future life together.

I think you will enjoy this family-friendly biography of a lovely family and it might even inspire the listener to write a biography of their family members' lives.

I received an Audible copy of this book.  All thoughts are my own.

Audiobooks by Linda Weaver Clarke

Audiobooks: Stories of Adventure, Mystery, and Romance

My favorite time period is historical because it’s during a time when men defended a lady’s honor and treated women with respect. The women, on the other hand, were not frail by any means. I love strong women characters who fight for what they believe. I enjoy writing stories with a mixture of romance and adventure. My favorite loves stories are about a couple who know they are meant for one another, even though there are trials along the way.

The Rebel Series is a Historical Mystery/Adventure Romance set in the 1700s. Many people have asked me why I wrote a story about rebels. Simple! I love a rogue who fights for justice and for the people. It was a bunch of rebels who fought for their freedom in America. They wanted to be free from the dictatorship of a king. How about Robin Hood? He and a bunch of men did the same thing as they helped the needy and poor. Liberty is something that I cherish. So I decided to write about a small country that struggles to be free.
