This is a part of the Daughters of the Mayflower series as it follows the family of William Lytton as the years proceed from the Mayflower sailing to the Pony Express days. This has been a great series and I have followed it from the beginning of the series. I don't want to quit reading them as they are very interesting and I love the historical content.
I love when a book takes place in an area where I have either lived or visited as does this one in the Utah territory. Jack,as she is nicknamed, takes good care of her Pony Express stop after the death of her father. She's a woman doing a man's job in a man's world and does a great job at it.
The book has history, genealogy, and romance and western excitement! This is a wonderful addition to the series! The characters are wonderful!
I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it!

The Golden Bride by Kimberly Woodhouse
This is the latest book in the Daughters of the Mayflower series. In this story, Olivia finds herself as a widow with regrets of past choices made. Now in San Francisco she starts to rebuild her life along with many gold miners who cross her way while working at her brother's eating establishment.
Again a wonderful Christian read with interesting historical information. Really enjoyed this book. And have enjoyed the series! Well, worth your time reading.
I received an ebook copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

Liberty Bride by Mary Lu Tyndall
OK! Loved this, so much action and no dull moments. I love the Daughters of the Mayflower series. I loved how Emeline helped anyone that needed her help, not just those on "her side". She was a warm, loving person. Lots to learn from this woman. I think you will enjoy this wonderful historical novel! I sure did. This is a wonderful read for those, like me, that enjoy Christian fiction.

The Patriot Bride by Kimberley Woodhouse
I definitely enjoyed reading this book by Kimberley Woodhouse. It was a great combination of fictional and real historical characters. She did a great job of combining the two very well. As supporters of the Patriot cause Faith and Matthew make a great combination. Although times are hard, they continue to forge ahead in a most worthy cause.
I am sure you will really enjoy this book. And I am looking forward to the next in the series! I have loved everyone of them so far!

The Pirate Bride by Kathleen Y'Barbo
Book 2 in the Daughters of the Mayflower series was written by Kathleen Y'Barbo and was a really exciting read. Lots of action and historical scenes to create a wonderfully weritten book.
Taking place in 1725, this historical fiction takes place during a time of great turmoil on the open seas and Maribel Cordoba finds herself deep in the action, on a ship where she is an 11 year old girl, taken by her father and separated from home and all she is familiar with and serves as a crew member as the lookout up in the "crow's nest".
Her life is not the life of a typical 11 year old and she finds herself in an island orphanage where she seems to adapt well only to find more mystery and intrigue in her life, and romance.
The book is very engaging and I enjoyed it very much. I had a hard time putting it down when other things needed to be attended to. I highly recommend this as a sweet, clean and highly interesting read!
