A Single Dad in Amish Country: A Clean and Uplifting Romance, (The Butternut Amish B&B Series)

A Single Dad in Amish Country

by Patricia Johns

This book immediately engaged me because of the occupation of pilot for the character of Hazel.  Which is exactly what a family member is doing right now!  So I totally tuned in right from the beginning.  Then it continued to engage me because of characters wanting to know about the biological parentage.  This is something I have been doing in my career.   And I couldn't help but fall in love with Eeyore.  So that being said, this was a sweet story that I just absolutely loved reading.  It was just what I needed! It was a truly enjoyable book to read.  I am so glad that I was able to read this very nice book!  I really liked the author's style of writing.  Thanks to NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this book.  All thoughts are my own.

Loving Lovina by Patricia Johns The Infamous Amish Series book 3

I hadn't read the previous two books, in fact, I wasn't aware that there were other books to this series until I started this review.  So I can honestly say that I was not confused by something I may have missed in the earlier books, I started out "fresh" so to speak and had no issues with that and totally was engaged from the beginning till the end.

Knowing someone personally who had amnesia from an accident, I could understand the situation as well as Lovina's feelings as the story progressed.  Slowly Lovina remembers but how will those memories affect her personally and in her family and friend relationships?

This book was very good and realistic.  It did not portray a perfect family or those whose life was carefree.

I recommend this very engaging story whether you have read the previous books or not.
I received a complimentary ebook from the publisher and NetGalley.  All thoughts are my own.

Jeb's Wife by Patricia Johns

I read this book really quickly.  And not because I wanted to finish it soon, but because I had to know how things turned out and what would happen next.  It was a really good book and I found myself reading way past "bedtime".

I really loved the characters and the sacrifices they made, how they grew, seeing their weaknesses, seeing them recognizing their strengths and those weaknesses that held them back.  It was a good book.  If you love Amish fiction, I am sure you won't be able to put this book down.

I received an ebook copy from NetGalley.  All thoughts are my own.

The Bishop's Daughter by Patricia Johns

This Amish romance revolves around the widow Sadie Hochstettler, still fairly young, with a young son.  As her Bishop father asks her long ago romantic interest who had left to join the English to help work his farm, as he is no longer healthy, they both feel some of the old feelings coming back, even after 9 long years.  Yet there are many things to resolve.

This was a good book and the first I have read from this author.  I enjoy "Prodigal son" type stories and finding your way back.  I enjoyed this author's writing style and will be watching for more of her books.

I received an ebook copy from NetGalley.  All thoughts are my own.
