Amish Women of Lawrence County Trilogy Books 1-3 by Tracy Fredrychowski

Now you can get all 3 books in one great set!  I really enjoyed each one. Get yours today!

Book 1

Emma is anxiously awaiting the birth of her child when tragedy strikes and claims all her happiness.  She tries to cope but needs to find her way to recovery, but she can't find the peace she needs despite all the attempts to help her from family and friends.  The firm ways of the Ordnung of her people is not helping in her situation.  She searches for the way to peace through Jesus' teachings bringing the hope she needs to overcome her trials.

I love how this book teaches us to rely on Jesus and the teachings of the Bible.  And to have faith in God's love for us.  It's a very engaging book of a strong Amish woman who needs to understand and follow God's plan for her and her family and find the resolve for her emotional journey.

I highly recommend this wonderful book!

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not required or asked to leave a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

Book 2

Rebecca's personality is anything other than the typical sweet Amish woman.  Her past continues to haunt her as she struggles to not allow others to come to close to her.  She is definitely in need of something in her life that will help her chart a better course for her future.

She finds herself caring for an Amish woman whose past also haunts her.  The two of them find a common road traveled with secrets that they can't find a way to resolve their pasts.  I love the lessons learned, the trust that only God can provide and repentance and forgiving oneself.  It's an excellent example of Christian faith and love.

I read this book in one session.  It was too good to put down.  And there were no slow moments.  It was totally captivating.  It had me on page one!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review.  All thoughts are my own.

Book 3

I loved getting to read book 3 of this series.  The Amish women of Lawrence County series always seems to have a good Christian theme and this one has as well.

Anna is living in a world of anxieties and after her faith is stretched to the limit, family and friends hopefully will give her the support she needs.  After Simon leaves just before their wedding, how will she be able to trust again? After he returns, will she be able to have a life with him?  With God's help the decisions will become clear.

I really enjoyed this book, as I have the previous books in the series.  I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author with no requirements of a positive review.  All thoughts are my own,

The Protector by Wanda E. Brunstetter A Mifflin County Mystery Book 1

I have read many books by this author and this one was in a style that I found very different than the usual style I have seen in books by Brunstetter.  It's a 3 part mystery which features Norman Petersheim, as the oldest son in the family who upon the disappearance of his sister, Rosa, sets his mind to finding out what happened to her.  Was she murdered, kidnapped or a runaway?  It was kind of a depressing book in many ways, sickness, loss and other problems. Norman is not going to give up on finding his sister and will do anything to make it happen.  Even with the possibility of personal loss of relationships. I do want to know myself as to the outcome for Rosa, so I will be reading the next book for sure.

I received an ARC from the Publisher.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Liberty A Historical Novel by Dean Hughes

I really enjoyed this book very much.  It was a historical fiction based on actual history of Joseph Smith and his followers.  His fictional story brought real life to the events and characters that are involved.  The trials and the hardships were all accurate and brought you right into Liberty Jail and the events that transpired.  A lot of research for accuracy was clearly a part of this book on the history of the beginnings of the Latter-Day Saints. Taking place in the early 1800's we can read about life in those times as well.  It is well worth a read!  I definitely recommend this interesting and engaging book!

Covering Grace (The Cañon City Chronicles Series Book 6)

I really enjoyed reading this clean and sweet historical western fiction.  The characters were engaging and their stories were interesting and very believable.  Grace is strong-willed and looking for work which she does find as a trick rider.  But things are quite dangerous and her friend Dan doesn't feel that it is safe and is concerned about her well-being and feels protective of her.  The story progresses well at a good pace and throw in some suspense and you have a great story that I recommend you read!

I received an ARC of this book.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.  I have really enjoyed this series!

A Killer on Christmas Cay by Bruce Hammack

Steve Smiley is a blind detective and he works alongside with Heather McBlythe to solve another mystery!  The series as well as this book are enjoyable and cozy mysteries!  I have liked them all.  Going to an island in the Caribbean to try to solve this case of  someone stealing company secrets brings lots of mystery and stress and twists and turns as the book continues.  I think you will enjoy it!

I received an Arc and all thoughts are my own.
