A Cowgirl Finds Home (The Blackwell Belles Book 2) By Carol Ross

Book 2 of The Blackwell Belles Series was a great addition and a very fine read.  It will get your reading attention from the start and will keep you reading till the end. The Belles were once a trick riding group with interesting names as well. They fell apart after a bad accident caused them to stop their riding group. The book had a bit of humor and I have found that to be a feature I really enjoy in my reading material. Although this is book 2, it can easily be a standalone in my opinion.  This is not a love at first site type of book, but only time can tell, right??

I received an ARC of this book.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wyoming Rodeo Rescue by Carol Ross

I love this Blackwell Series!  This was the third book and it was so sweet!  The author did a great job of developing the "cast of characters!"  Summer is an equestrian rider who appears early to the "rodeo" and finds herself in the midst of preparations and she digs right in, although she was not expected and yet she will take over as the main event of the rodeo!  Levi and Summer seem to not hit is off at first meeting.  She appears to early for him and she doesn't seem to appreciate his reactions to her being there.  But the story continues and you will just love how it turns out.  Levi's daughter and Summer seem to hit it off wonderfully from day one and they instantly click.  There is some "strife" as ex-wife appears and she and Levi can't seem to agree on what is best for their daughter.  But the story continues and you will just love how it turns out.  This book is a winner.  I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the next in the series.  It just keeps getting better!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.  All thoughts are my own.

Catching Mr. Right by Carol Ross Seasons of Alaska Series

My Review

I just finished this book and noticed it was book 7 of the Seasons of Alaska Series.  This was the first one that I have read, so I think I have some catching up yet to do!  But the book was a fine stand-alone book, regardless.

The story is in the Louisiana Bayou region and the lead character is Victoria Thibodeaux, a strong female lead and resort owner.  She's a single mom and a very competitive one when it comes to business matters!  She is determined to become a spokeswoman for an important sports company.  I especially enjoyed the fishing, as my husband has taken me on many of his fishing adventures.  I found the whole fishing theme to be a new area of reading for me, which was definitely fun.

I loved to see the great personalities of the characters and the great writing that developed them into a very interesting storyline.

I received a copy of this book from the author.  All thoughts are my own.

Montana Match by Carol Ross

I loved this addition to The Blackwell Sisters by Carol Ross.  It was such a fun read and I enjoyed it so much, I absolutely couldn't put it down.  I loved Fiona and Simon's story.  It was fun and sweet and you couldn't help thinking Simon was an amazing person!

Fiona wants to find her perfect match and uses a dating web site hoping she will find someone that fits as her ideal husband.  Simon is a bartender and is not in a marriage frame of mind.   He helps her meet guys and tried to keep her away from some, as well.  There are some funny moments and you could actually visualize them happening.

It was a very engaging story line and the characters were perfect.  It is a book you wouldn't want to miss. Excellent!

I received a complimentary copy of this book.  All thoughts are my own.

Keeping Her Close by Carol Ross

Book Blurb:

Hired to protect her

…unable to resist her

The job sounds simple: teach a businessman’s daughter how to stay safe. But former navy SEAL turned bodyguard Kyle Frasier has a personal motive, too. Harper Jansen is his late best friend’s fiancĂ©e. Loyalty demands he protect her, not that Harper looks in need of rescuing. In fact, it’s Kyle who needs help—balancing duty with his desire to build a life with the one woman he shouldn’t want…

My Thoughts:

This was a great story by Carol Ross.  Kyle is hired to protect Harper and is somewhat torn as to his feelings for her and respect for the memory of his best friend.  As they continue to be together, strong feelings develop and his isn't sure of the best way to handle them.

It's a really good story about feelings that could easily happen under these circumstances.  It's a sweet story and I really enjoyed it so much!  Sorry to see it end!  You will love it!

I received an ebook copy.  All thoughts are my own.

Defending Christmas by Carol Ross (12 Days of Heartwarming Christmas)

This story was about two opposite personalities, a lawyer and a private investigator.  They don't appear to be getting along to well, yet perhaps there is something they aren't seeing.  Working together didn't always work out.  There were challenges.

I enjoyed this delightful Christmas season book, part of a series of Christmas books.  It definitely gets you in a happy Christmas mood.  There is romance, mystery and is heartwarming, through and through!

The Rancher's Twins Return of the Blackwell Brothers by Carol Ross

This was the sweetest story.  I really enjoyed it.  I recently reviewed The Rancher's Redemption and this is a part of that series.

As Lydia tries to escape a past situation, she finds a wonderful job as a nanny on a Montana ranch. Jon, the father of the twins who hired her had specifics that were required of his daughters' nanny, discovered right away, those specifics weren't met.  No way was she the experienced "ranching" nanny.  She was a great nanny, but the ranching requirements, nope, she didn't cut it. I loved how the new nanny and the twins hearts entwined and the feelings that they had together.  She won the girls over, but will she be able to prove she can fill those specific requirements?

She has a couple of weeks to try to redeem herself.  Will she do it?

This was a wonderful book and wove in the stories of the previous Return of the Blackwell Brothers' characters.  I always enjoy seeing characters that I have come to know in other books of a series.  I love that continuity!

I recommend this wonderful story.  I received a copy of this book from the author.  All thoughts are my own.

Christmas in the Cove by Carol Ross

This was my first book by this author.  I really enjoyed it.  It was a contemporary romance but definitely a clean read.  Just my style.

The book starts out with lots of action and an accidental reunion of a long separated couple.  But will this reunion be possible because of their ending together?  Aubry felt great loss when Eli separated from her.  Why?  Now after twelve years things are not so easy to forget, yet Aubry and Eli find themselves working together in their dangerous jobs.

A very intriguing storyline with romance, suspense and lots of action.  A good book for those who enjoy a mystery.  And a great Christmas read! I hope to read more from this author.

I received a copy of this book from the author for my honest review, which I have given.
