Great Christian themed novella! This book is a good story about a football player with a temper that needs to be toned down. As a way to help his attitude he is told he must serve the community for 20 hours. He is assigned to a center for children and asked to teach them and show them the ropes of football. He is not immediately convinced this is what he wants to do until he spots cute Kenzi and that changes his point of view a bit.
Shelby is the manager of the center which is quickly losing children to attend to a more attractive sounding place not too far away. She is struggling how to fix up the center and attract new clientele without much luck until she sees a possibility with a football player, Tucker. Skeptical because he is there to serve his community service, she is at first not very impressed.
The story is one of love of others, sharing of time and talents and it has a great storyline. It's a very enjoyable read and luckily is the first of a new series called Texas Tornados, Tucker's team. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Never Forget the Past by Lorana Hoopes
This book was pretty action packed and kept me guessing to the end, who the culprit in the story was. The story line was interesting where the fire fighter, Matt Fisher, was targeted by an arsonist. He and Lieutenant Makenna Drake determined that he should keep out of sight and be
"assumed" dead to protect him from further threats.
Taking on a new persona and his family not knowing that he was actually still living, he becomes Billy or Bubba Campbell. But after five years, the arsonist is once more starting fires and targeting people. Bubba returns home and then its a matter of finding the arsonist and keeping him from starting more and more fires.
It's a good read. I enjoyed it.

Her Second Chance Forever Groom by Lorana Hoopes
This was a grab you from the start book of novella length.
Left behind by a young man seeking to have a football career, Mia marries and that did not have a happy story. She's on her own now, with a son, trying to nurture and support him financially. This was an emotional and heartfelt story with Christian values, and a story of improving one's self to make a better life.
When former boyfriend, Emmitt returns to town, how is this going to turn out? Great story with all the feels!
You will really enjoy this fast and fun read.

Fire Games by Lorana Hoopes
This was a different book for this author! It is the first book in a new Series called The Men of Fire Beach. It's the story of the character, Cassidy Marcel from the reality show story "Who wants to Marry A Cowboy?" I really enjoyed that book and was excited to see Cassidy in this book.
It's a good Christian read and the author is very talented. Firefighters and police officers bring action into any book as they did here. Cassidy is a fire fighter who actively participates in her work. The book is very entertaining and lots of action to keep your interest. There is action, suspense and romance. A great combo and a great read!

The Producer's Unlikely Bride by Lorana Hoopes
This was a fun contemporary clean romance. Justin is a burned-out reality show producer whose boss sees he needs a mandatory vacation to get back into things. Ava is a romance writer, with spiritual feelings, Justin not so. They meet because their vacation getaway beach house was double booked.\ by them both. And they can only get a refund after 3 days. Their forced togetherness appears as a possible business advantage for both and a "fake relationship" is formed. They are complete opposites in every possible way. How is this going to work?
This is a fun read and very modern in it's scope. I enjoyed the book and the main characters. It was a fun and clean read and an entertaining read. Lots of fun and surprises.

The Bilionare's Christmas Miracle by Lorana Hoopes AUDIBLE Version
I really enjoyed this. It was the first "billionaire" book that I had read and listened too, so I wasn't really sure...but it was really good. Loved the Cinderella type storyline. I enjoyed the characters and pretty much everything else. It's a good book. I recommend it!I was surprised that the author narrated her own book. I haven't seen that before. But she has a really pleasant speaking voice and did a good job with expression and character differences.

Lawfully Matched by Lorana Hoopes AUDIBLE Version
This is the second book of this author that I have been fortunate enough to read and listen to. Very sweet romance. The characters were well matched and made a good fit even though they had no idea! The narrator was Daniel James Lewis. He had a little bit of a southern accent to his voice which added to the Texas feel of the book. It was fun to listen to and his expressions and "voices" were well portrayed.
Enjoyed how the steadily paced book progressed and there was suspence and romance to keep things interesting.
The book was of a novella length and I was able to finish listening to it in one sitting. I enjoyed it very much.

Brush With a Billionaire by Lorana Hoopes
Finding himself in Soda Spurs, Texas, billionaire Brent wants a change. Brent meets Sam as she is the local auto mechanic. Love how a women is in a commonly expected male occupation. I like the contrast in the big city-little town experience.
I love how this is a faith building story. The characters were fun and I enjoyed their story.

Lawfully Pursued by Lorana Hoopes
This book which is a part of the Lawkeepers series, was very good. Although only 109 pages, it developed a great store of redemption and starting over. Well written and very entertaining. The author did a good job in telling the story of Brie and Swat Officer Jesse.
I was impressed with Jesse, as he stuck to his beliefs and didn't let others influence him in a way he did not believe was right. That says a lot for his character. Brie realizes that there are changes in her as she gets to know him and that those changes are good.

The Still Small Voice by Lorana Hoopes
This was a book that kind of makes you think. If you are Christian, it is a good reminder to listen to the promptings that come to you when you are in tune, and listening for answers. I found it very interesting and it was an enjoyable read.

The Scarlet Wedding by Lorana Hoopes Sage Creek Saga Book 1
It was fun to read this clean historical and Christian fiction carrying forth the story of Emma and William.
It was a book sharing that life doesn't always go as planned, but God is there to help when matters are beyond our control. I liked the Christian themes and the family oriented book.
I am looking forward to the continuation!

A Past Forgiven by Lorana Hoopes
This book was a bit different for a Christian fiction, but did cover issues of young adults that affect many people and causes grief and problems for many of them.
Jess and Chad find themselves at the same college, both with attitudes and problems from the past that cause behaviors to be difficult to deal with for people around them.
Jess is disappointed and angered that she doesn't receive the private room she requested and has a religious roommate. Something she would not have wanted, ever!
But as she meets Chad and they are instantly attracted. Both with pasts they keep buried in their hearts.
As their hearts are turned by friends and relatives, they realize there are changes needed. But will they be able to fix the problems? And if so, how?
This book was very real life. Our lives, and those of many are not perfect. There are things everyone needs to work on to better themselves. Sometimes this is a difficult process. Enjoyed the book.
