The Highland Heist by Pepper Basham

This is one of my "go to" authors.  I have enjoyed all her books and this book just grabbed my attention.  I am a mystery lover and this book fit the bill!  I enjoy a clean romance and historical always catches my attention.  And this book did just that.  I loved the characters and want to continue reading everything from this author.  This book is a mix of all those things that I love in a book.
I received an ARC copy of this book.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Cairo Curse by Pepper Basham

I haven't had the chance to read book 1 of this series, honestly I didn't feel lost because some information was given in the book to help the reader "catch-up".  So I was not confused in any way.  I enjoyed the action that kept coming throughout the book.  I loved the honeymoon trip to Egypt, the pyramids, the tombs and the interesting adventure depicted in this highly interesting story. What a setting!  It must have required quite a bit of research.

It was fun to meet Zahra and her role in the story.  It took quite a while to figure out who was behind all the crime and there were some very engaging moments!  Loved it!

I received a copy of this book from Barbour publishing.  All thoughts are my own.

The heart of the Mountains by Pepper Basham

The minute I started reading this book, I knew I would love it and I totally did.  I enjoyed the historical setting, the characters, the plot.  It was just plain good reading!  If you enjoy a clean historical fiction, this book will captivate you from the start.   Cora's adventures are fascinating and the storyline will not disappoint you!  I loved it!

I received a complimentary copy from Barbour Publishing and was not required to post a positive review.  All thoughts are my own.

Christmas in Mistletoe Square: Christmas Romance Novella Collection by Cara Putman, Teresa Tysinger, Pepper Basham and Janine Rosche

This book contains four stories written by four amazing authors that wrote enjoyable and cohesive stories revolving around a town called Kedgewick Creek in North Carolina.  This book is a contemporary romance for four couples.  The stories are unique and very interesting and will put you in a happy holiday mood.

Being a former drama major and fan, there was a story which was about the town theater and the struggles of a couple as they work through a difficult rocky road in their relationship.

The authors are Christian authors and so the stories all reflect this along with themes of forgiveness of things which occurred in their past and hope for things yet to come.  The four stories are each unique from one another, yet blend together so well as the book progresses.  I enjoyed it very much.

I received a copy from the authors with no expectation of a positive review.  All thoughts are my own.

My Heart Belongs in the Blue Ridge Laurel's Dream by Pepper Basham

This is another in the My Heart Belongs series.  It was also the first time that I have read a book by this author.  I really enjoyed it.  I especially liked how the mountain culture shown through including the language that they would use and their beliefs and lifestyle.  It's a hard life in the Appalachians and Laurel wants things to change.

The new teacher in the mountains tells of life and things outside of this place and receives harsh responses to his teaching ways.

I think this was a really good book and I think people will love it as much as I did.

I received an ebook copy of this book from NetGalley.  All thoughts are my own.
