Lizzie's Little Mouse by Anne Blackburne

This was a really fun cozy mystery.  I loved the characters and Little Mouse, especially!  As someone makes efforts to foil Lizzie's plans for a successful New Orleans style French bakery, Lizzie and her friends face several obstacles to keep things going.  Her friends are there to help and a little romance adds to the story, of course.  Who is trying to cause her to give up on her plans? And I love the historical aspect that totally engages me! It is a refreshing new book of  an Amish Entrepreneur who faces unexpected trials and twists!  I loved it!

An Amish Widow's New Love by Vannetta Chapman

This was a story of a young widow's financial plight after her husband's passing.  He has left her with more debt than she can handle and she moves to a new Amish community.  She has nothing to her name except those debts and the house she purchased after the sale of her past home.  Will the new community accept her and how will she and her sons forge a new path?  This was a really good book and I enjoyed it very much.  She finds help through Amos Yoder, the owner of the Amish Market.  And then she finds a wonderful community and more!

I really enjoyed this Amish romance and I recommend this book.  You won't want to miss it!

Their Surprise Reunion by Shelley Shepard Gray

This was a sweet and fun read.  It was real.  What I mean by that is that the subject matter was a believable one.  Finding yourself in hard times, that's real.  As Kayla finds herself at a food bank, she has no idea where her life will lead to after a bad divorce.  In walks Sean, an old friend from school. They both have sad times in their lives and friendship is always wanted and needed.  I loved how this story progressed.  It was a book that expresses all the feelings that can occur.  I highly recommend this very interesting and uplifting story.  I loved it!

The Pursuit of Elena Bradford by Ann H. Gabhart

Just finished this excellent book.  It was very entertaining and had a clean and enjoyable storyline.  As Elena's widowed mother realized her financial situation was becoming very dire, she  feels that if her daughter, Elena, would find herself married to a wealthy man, their problems would all be resolved. So they spend their summer in a beautiful health resort called Graham Springs where there are dances and opportunities to meet someone to marry and enjoy the healing spring water. As the story proceeds, there is mystery and intrigue is this Kentucky setting.   The characters were engaging and of course, in pursuit of Elena. But is money the only reason to marry or will love win out?  This was a story that I totally enjoyed and that keeps me reading books from this author!  Loved it.

Saving The Mountain Man's Legacy (Brothers of Sapphire Ranch Book 8)

I have read each of the books of this series.  Why? Because I absolutely loved every single one.  It is such a captivating series.  I loved book 8 because it tells the story of Sampson and his unexpected bride. The characters of previous books of the series appear and take an active part in this book, as well. As Grace and Sampson and an abandoned baby first meet a great story begins.  It was a book that I could not put down and I was so happy that I had the opportunity to read this riveting story.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.  I highly recommend this book and if you haven't read others in the series, you are missing out on some good reading!

For Sure and Certain I Do Not Love Henry Yoder: An Amish Hockey Rom-Com by Jennifer Spredemann and Brandi Gabriel

This was such a cute book and I am so lucky to have had a chance to read it!  It is Ellie and Henry's story and yes, Ellie does not love Henry Yoder, but how does he feel about Ellie? She holds a grudge from grade-school years and she is sure that the older version of Henry has never changed!  The book is a sweet story of Henry's feelings for Ellie and his hopes to win her heart.  But that is not at all what Ellie wants and there are definitely things that are obstacles in winning Ellie's heart and hand.  But you will see that God's hand is in our life's paths and such is the case in this book.  I recommend this sweet story and the beginning of a new Amish series.

The Peacemaker by Wanda E. Brunstetter (A Mifflin County Mystery Book 2 of 3)

Her best friend suddenly disappears.  Her boyfriend Ephraim is thought to be a suspect by some of the townspeople.  It is a clean novel and a cozy mystery.  The characters are very likeable and I enjoyed reading about Ada and Ephraim as they become closer.  She likes him and doesn't know where their relationship is headed because of this disappearance.  Will his feelings be reciprocated or is his mind and heart still with his missing girlfriend?  It's a good book and I enjoy this author's books and try to read them all.

I received an arc copy of this book from the publisher.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Murder On The Neches by Bruce Hammack (A Fen Maguire Mystery Book 8)

I have enjoyed Bruce Hammack's mystery/who dun it books very much.  They are clean mysteries and very entertaining to read.  I have enjoyed the characters in this series and the interesting cast of characters has kept me reading each one of these books. Fen Maguire, former sheriff, has another case to solve but he has had a serious injury and he just keeps on keepin' on!  There are twists and there are turns which will keep you wondering if you know how the culprit is.  It kept my attention, and I hated when I had to stop reading to do "other" things.  You will enjoy this book and the rest of the series for sure!

I received an ARC copy of this book.  All thoughts are my own.

Amish Home Remedy for the Heart by Debra Torres

This book was really well written!  It was a very heart wrenching story.  It wasn't your perfect Amish family as sometimes we envision.  It was a troubled husband and father who felt trapped in his Amish situation.  And so he just left his wife and children to "jump the fence".  Poor Leanna must now find her way through the hardship and hurt.  It's a story of love, pain, forgiveness and trials.  It's a heartwarming Christian story that will make you think and wonder how things will go for this family and if God will guide them in the way that they should go.  I loved it.  Never a dull moment in this book.  It was so good.  I am sure everyone will really love this story!

I received and ARC copy of this book for free. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Sergeant and the Girl Next Door by Laura Rupper

This is the first book that I have read from this author.  It is a sweet romance that takes place after WWII.  Davis Wilson has returned from the War and Faith, his long time friend. has lost her brother and her father. He wants to make sure they are cared for and isn't too happy about her choices of a dance partner.  He finds ways to make sure that Freddy, the dance partner, doesn't get too close.  This was a really sweet story and an enjoyable one to read.  The character development was well done and I would recommend the story to others.  This was a book that was gifted to a family member.

Hostage Security by Lisa Childs (Bachelor Bodyguards Book 14)

This was a captivating book for me as I love a good suspense.  As Josh takes on a new position as a security specialist, he is in for some real surprises!  He has a son that he never knew anything about.  And that son has just been kidnapped.  There are no dull moments in this Romantic Suspense. There is lots of action as Josh does whatever is needed to find his son.  Natalie, the mother of his son and Josh have been apart for many years and she is not sure how she feels about this.  I am sure if you like suspense, this one will keep you on the edge of your chair.

Sabotage at Cedar Creek by Janice Thompson (The Little Red Truck Mysteries Book 2)

I love when books are based in Texas, one of my fave places to visit.  This is book 2 and unfortunately, I missed book 1.  I loved the mystery and the romance and the small town feel of the book with its interesting characters. There is a little suspense, but is definitely a cozy mystery. There is also a bit of humor in the book.  I love going to B&B's and so this story definitely resounded for me.  There were several possible suspects that were making it a bit difficult to be certain of who was doing the sabotage and why.  You will enjoy the fun story.

A Cowgirl's Christmas Reunion by Cari Lynn Webb The Blackwell Belles Book 5

I have been avidly reading this series called The Blackwell Belles.  Love the series and loved this book!  This is Willow and Nolan's book.  This is the final book in the series and I enjoy each of the sisters in the series and how they find their happy ending. This is a reunion book of all the sisters each of whom has had a interesting story and reason why the reunion is a bit worrisome, especially for Willow.  She has missed her sisters And although there have been difficulties, will they be overcome?  It's a sweet story of a second chance. The authors that have written these books have done a good job with each book in the series.

A Small Town Christmas Reunion by Melinda Curtis (Love in Harmony Valley Book 15)

After a terrible experience, Jill has a baby that she desperately needs to protect.  Vince was the answer to that and they quickly married and then she leaves Vince.  He comes back into her life feeling that he wants this marriage of convenience to be a real marriage. But Jill is planning a divorce.

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me reading till the very end.  It is a sweet romance and the holiday joy of a child is always a wonder to see and in this case, read about. This is truly a heartwarming story that was a joy to read.  So glad I did!

B is for Bonnet by Shelley Shepard Gray Book 2 Amish ABC's

I was lucky to read both books of this series.  I knew when I read the first book, that I wanted to keep reading this series.  And glad that I did.  It was a light read and a story of 4 siblings that had experienced  a divorce of their parents prompting them to move to the grandparent's home and considered joining the Amish faith, which was the original faith of their father who "jumped the fence". This was "Jonny's story in which he meets Amish Treva after hearing of news of his health that need addressing by changing his  personal lifestyle.  Forgiving others was a strong thread that carried through the story

The story was sweet and I enjoyed it. It was a good read and I look forward to C is for Courtship!

The Amish Baker Caper: A Willow Springs Amish Mystery Romance book 2 by Tracy Fredrychowski

Ruthie Mast is a strong-willed Amish woman.  I loved her character as she was going to find out who was causing all the crimes occurring in her otherwise peaceful Amish village.  Leaving no stones unturned, Ruthie befriends Isaiah, who at first she doesn't quite trust, is he involved in the crimes? Or will he help her resolve the mysterious events that seem to continue to happen.  This book was not only mysterious, it was very entertaining and the pacing was great as there were no boring moments.  I was immediately engaged with the events and the family backgrounds that come to play in this book!  I loved it.  I can't wait till the next book comes out!

I received an ARC and so happy about that!  All thoughts and opinions are my own!

Guarding the Mountain Man's Secret (Brothers of Sapphire Ranch Book 7)

This was such a good book.  I could really feel the pressure felt by Clara as she tried to protect the Coulters and also her father, whose life had been threatened.  This was a book that keeps you on your toes and as with most of this author's books, there is no shortage of action and lots of great reading. Clara is a very engaging character and has lots of decisions to make in this story.  There is also a "next" book yet to come and having read all of this series, I am not going to want to miss book 8!

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Rise and Fall of Miss Fannie's Biscuitsby Wanda E. Brunstetter and Martha Bolton

This is a cozy mystery about a baking competition and suddenly there are threatening notes and missing contestants.  Fannie is hoping for a blue ribbon this year as she decides to enter, as she previously has with her Aunt's recipe of Buttermilk Biscuits.  Suddenly trouble starts to brew and she and Foster Bates, private investigator, are on the lookout for whatever may be going on.

The story is a fun, easy-going story with small hints of a possible romance.  It was an enjoyable read,
and a relaxing read.  I liked the story and I look forward to reading more if this becomes a new series.

I received an ARC copy of this book.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.
